Click to download sponsorship levelsWe have completed our third year here at Double Branch Elementary and what an accomplishment it has been. Our brand new school has earned the coveted Grade “A” school award this year and we could not have done it without the many partnerships we have had with our community partners. We have also earned the Golden School Award for outstanding volunteer hours. One of our many goals this year is to continue to grow with our partners and engender new relationships with the continuous growth of our community. As you already know, the Double Branch PTA is a volunteer organization whose primary objective is to advocate for our children’s academic and physical success, which, in turn, prepares each child to become a productive citizen in our community. We believe a strong partnership between parents, the school, and the community contributes to this success. I think we have done a great job so far in meeting this goal but look forward to building upon that.
We are fortunate to have a highly skilled staff at our disposal at Double Branch and hope to help them to fulfill the academic needs of our children to the best of their ability. With the current budgetary cuts in Pasco County, there will be challenges for our staff to fulfill the needs of our children. Therefore, during the upcoming school year, we envision that with the help of our community partners, we will be able to furnish necessities to our teachers, staff and classrooms. We are looking for help to support the following programs: art and music departments, Buckaroo Bucks Store, ABC program for underprivileged students, an author/illustrator visit, Mad Science Night, an International Festival to celebrate diversity, Red Ribbon Week to promote anti-drug awareness, teacher mini-grants and many more worthy causes within our school.
This past school year saw the building of the second phase of our playground which enabled us to have a more interactive playground for our older students. Thanks to the generous contribution of our community partners and parents who attended our many varied events, we were able to see this goal realized. We are looking forward to purchasing a cover for this beautiful playground which has provided our children with a facility for their daily recommended amount of exercise. Your sponsorship, support, and collaboration with the Double Branch PTA will support our efforts to suffice the need for our children’s physical growth.
